Viking
Ship Model
$35.00US A striking decoration for
the Viking enthusiast! This is a scale model of
the famous Oseberg ship, found in Norway. Viking
ships were the high technology of their time. They
permitted the Vikings to dominate most of Europe
for almost 300 years as they traveled thousands of
miles raiding and trading. Without these "dragons
of the sea" the outstanding achievements of the
Viking Age would not have been possible. Our model
is 7-3/4 inches long, 2-1/4 inches wide and 4-1/4
inches tall.

Viking
Tipping Glass $35.00US
Viking glass blowers were unable to make a flat-bottomed vessel. This is
as close as it comes. Although it's a bit unstable, it's still useful and
is a fine conversation piece. The "tipping" glass holds about 5-1/2
ounces. And it stands (or leans!) four inches high.

Lilith
Statue
$85.00US
This image of Lilith is based largely on
a Sumerian clay tablet relief from 2000 BC. She wears the
horned crown that marks her as a Goddess not a demon in
Sumerian mythology. Lilith appears in Sumerian, Babylonian,
Assyrian, Canaanite, Persian, Hebrew, Arabic and Teutonic
mythology. She is also known as Adam's "first wife" who
refused to "lie beneath." In the oldest mythologies she is a
Goddess and in later stories she is demonized. Lilith is a
motherless form of the divine feminine even known to some as
the wife of Yahweh. As the embodiment of the neglected,
outcast and rejected aspects of the Great Goddess she calls
women to rise up in strength to reclaim their own divinity.

The Viking
Adventure Game "Hnefatafl"
$54.95US It is
pronounced "Nef - ah - tah - fel" in old
Norse, which means the king's table. Board 11.5" x 11.5", King
1.75", Pawns 1.25".
The Viking game "Hnefatafl" was a
popular board game during the Dark Ages in Northern Europe and was played
all over the Viking world. Based on archaeological research
the game has been reconstructed and can now be played as it was by the
Vikings over 1,600 years ago.
Hnefatafl was last recorded as being played in Wales in 1587 and in
Lapland in 1723. The rules are simple, yet require tactical skill to take the
enemy by surprise and win the game. The legacy of the Viking use of
tactical surprise is told of again and again in the Viking sagas. Chess
enthusiasts will appreciate a new, or should I say old way of thinking.
