About Us. Welcome to the celtic attic. Founded in 1999, we are a family owed and operated company. We are of Irish, Norwegian, Scottish and Swedish heritage. The family has traveled the world exploring our heritage and beyond. We are honored to provide you with authentic Celtic gifts, jewelry and artwork. We make jewelry, artwork and I write books and make art and gift cards out of my writings and photography.
We have had so many people ask who we are and what we are all about, that we decided to tell our tale right here. Back in 1998, my middle son, Jeremy, had the idea that we should make Sea Shell jewelry with Celtic Knot work beads attached after a trip to Ireland where we all fell in love with your Celtic & Scandinavian heritage. Celtic Attic began as a small 10 page website selling handmade Sea Shell Pendants and Celtic Sea Salts. We opened our store in 1999 and launched the website in January 2000. We had our first sale in June 2000. We also owned a Computer Services company and as a hobby for Computer Nerdette, Kristin, Celtic Attic was a great diversion from the Computer and ISP Business. Long days of computer work, Website Development and down and dirty tech work, required a break and Celtic Attic was it.
Now after 20 years, the kids are now all grown up, graduated from college and living their own dreams. The third generation is now attending shows and events with me. I have decided to focus on the imports that I know are amazing such as Jewelry, Kitchenware and Food & Teas. I have also decided I want to get back to my roots and be creative again. So I am working on Art, both Celtic and Art based on our travels all over the world. I have begin a Western WA, Oregon and Hawaii line. Each line focuses on scenic art (truthfully mostly beachy themed pictures) and some Celtic Knots and Celtic Themed ideas intermixed in the Art. I have Oils Prints, both framed and carded and Art Cards available for your shopping pleasure.
