Scottish Thistle Bauble. This beautiful Scottish bauble is decorated with the national symbol of Scotland, the thistle. Adopted in the 13th century, the thistle has come to represent the resiliency of Scotland and beauty of its landscape. Around the thistle is accented with green and red Scottish weave pattern and features a tan background.
Constructed in the traditional decoupage technique that involves layering painted or otherwise illustrated paper to a surface and coating with varnish to achieve a smooth finish. In this case, the exterior is glass with paper finely laid inside for a beautiful bauble that can be displayed any time of year.
